Wine is our memory and memory of wine is the history of Georgia told wordlessly; when the country was powerful, wine-making was flourishing - vineyards blossoming, the best wine was being produced, the new species were being evolved, and vice versa - the decline of the country was reflected on the winemaking.

It’s been more than 8000 since the beginning of winemaking culture in Georgia and after that vine and a Georgian man are inseparable/ It’s unimaginable to have a gathering in Georgia without wine, we drink wine in sickness and the health, in better and the worse, we meet a birth of new life with a glass of wine and follow one to its last way with it.

“Alazani” is located at the very special place of Georgian winemaking history - village Kardenakhi. As told, every house/ door had a vine and that’s where the name comes from - “Kari” (door) and “Venakhi” (vine) - “Kardenakhi”.

This factory was named as the largest wine factory around the Caucasus region in 1970.

The company was revived in 2016 - human resources were retrained, new inventories were equipped and new technologies implemented and all these give the possibility to produce wine both in traditional Georgian and modern European technologies.

“Alazani" treats Georgian wine history with a huge responsibility and produce “traditional wine traditionally” - the wine in qvevri is produced by the same methodology described by Baron de Baye.

“Winery” wines are produced of the highest quality grapes.
The brand unites various types of wines: from appellation controlled and aged in barrels to table wines.

“Qvevri” wines are made by the centuries-old traditional Georgian methodology, that was described by Baron de Baye during his voyage in Kakheti in 1887. The brand has a wide variety of types.

Marani is a premium class brand of “Alazani”. Marani wine is treated exclusively even from the very beginning - the grapes are picked, carefully stacked in special wooden boxes, laid out on a special table and hand-selected one by one.

“Kakhuri” brand unites table wines from the Kakheti region. Each one is produced from the grapes of Kakheti zones. The brand represents all the famous types of table wines.
